Below is the link for the video the children watched in the assembly on Friday. You may wish to view it with your child and discuss the points raised. Jigsaw video

Squirrels Heath Junior Fun Run

Image
In Year 5 our topic this half term is Blood Heart and we have been learning about the heart and the circulatory system. As part of our topic we have decided to plan and organise an Odd Sock Fun Run on Friday 11 th October to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and the school. The BHF work hard to prevent heart and circulatory diseases. They raise money to research cures and treatments to help those affected by terrible diseases. The school is raising money for our Bio-dome project which will enable us to build a school bio-dome in our quad area and teach pupils about growing their own produce and eating healthy foods as well as learning all about ecosystems and sustainability. We have been busy designing posters, planning an assembly and organising the day. We hope to make this event fun and enjoyable for everyone as well as help our chosen charity and improve our school facilities. Please support us by sponsoring
