Jubilee week in Year 6

  To celebrate the Queen's 70th Jubilee we have spent the week taking part in some exciting themed activities. In year 6 we have: baked and iced shortbread biscuits, designed and painted a decorative plate and then taken part in our school Jubilee festivities with a dance and singing of the national anthem. To tie in with this, we have also spent some time taking part in a historical enquiry by looking at the ways the Queen represents and reflects all the different parts of British values and our society. 

Jubilee Activities in Year 5

This week, Year 5 have been participating in lots of different activities to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. We have baked and decorated biscuits, painted our own plates and attended and exhibition on all the work that the school have been doing to commemorate this event.  Well we had an amazing week preparing for the Jubilee!  The children made an exhibition in the hall to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II They made biscuits and commemorative plates in class, and beautiful portraits using her silhouette! We have a fantastic Bake Sale and non uniform day, culminating in an amazing Tea Party, with juice, biscuits, singing and dancing!  What a fabulous week! 👑
