Year 6  - Working from home This week, Year 6 have been working at home but that hasn't stopped them producing some fantastic work! We have had some great pieces in from across the three classes and we are very proud of how hard some of the children have been working. They have continued to follow the English and Maths curriculum at home as well as following some Black History lessons.   Below are some great examples of a Balanced Argument from Sophia, Tavisha,  Stella and Holly.   Some children have also been working hard on their Art skills - George and Kartik have created these pieces - Well done ! Well done Y6 - keep up the good work!

Year 5 Celebrating Black History Month

Image
Year 5 students have thoroughly enjoyed expanding their knowledge on the issues surrounding racial equality this week. All classes were inspired by Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" and created their own versions which were thoughtful and demonstrated a deep passion and love for the world around them.  To celebrate the achievements of Martin Luther King, the students produced some wonderful portraits of the great man. Have a look at some of their work.

In year 3 this term we have been studying the religion of Hinduism. We have read stories about Ganesha the Hindu God including ‘How Ganesha got his Elephant head’ and ‘Ganesha’s sweet tooth’. The children really enjoyed finding out about Ganesha and making clay statues.

All of our staff have been working hard to brighten up our corridors, and show off some of the great work that our children have been completing over the past term.  As we can not invite visitors into the school at the moment please take a look at the pictures below.  We have also commissioned an amazing piece of wall art for our reception area.

Year 4...getting rid of Eggbert, Eggy and Eggwina!

Image
This week we finally said goodbye to our lovely eggs after watching them for weeks...we identified which drinks caused the most decay and saw how toothpaste helps protect our teeth!  In the end, we were not too disappointed to see them go...they absolutely stank!
