Year 3 Road Safety

 In year 3 we were very lucky to be treated to a special assembly about road safety. We listened to the red and Green man who took time out of their very busy working day to teach us correct ways to cross roads and travel near roads and crossings.

Year 6: Working hard!

 Year 6 have settled in well following on from half term holidays! They have been learning how to measure and calculate angles in Maths; writing a diary entry in English and have started their new topic of Living Things in Science. All in all, it’s been a great start to Spring 2!

Classification in Year 4

 This week we started our new Science topic: Classifying and grouping. We discussed what classification is and talked about the 3 different types of classification.  We used this learning to help us sort living and non living things into different classification groups.  Then we went outside to see what classification questions we could create in the Biodome.

Netball Champs!

 The netball team took part in the quarter finals today following on from their win in the group stages. They played exceptionally well and won all 4 matches played! The scores were: 4 -3 (James Oglethorpe) 6-1 (Parsonage Farm) 6-1 (Harold Court) 8-3 (Engayne) The team are now through to the semi finals and we are super proud of them all. Well done Squirrels! Amassive thank you to Mrs Chestnutt for organising all these great competitions -we are very grateful!

Fabulous French in Year 5🇫🇷

In French this week we brought all our learning over the past half term together by becoming weather presenters. We used our learning to introduce ourselves, welcome our viewers and describe what the weather was like in different parts of France! ☀️🌩☃️☔️
