In Year 4, we have been writing mythical stories based on the culture of the Iroquois tribe of North America. Whilst the children did not roll around in the snow to prepare for winter, they did brave arctic temperatures for some outdoor storytelling as they read their myths aloud! The children were both beautiful readers and respectful listeners, and had lots of fun!

This week everyone in Year 4 have been starting to get in the Christmas mood. The children have been rehearsing their songs and carols ready for our Christmas concert. As they carry on rehearsing they will be adding in movements and also including some instruments. The backing tracks and the lyrics can be found in the Year 4 class streams on Google Classroom, to help with some extra practise at home. To make the school look more festive every class has been creating Christmas decorations this week. In Year 4 the children have been making personalised 3D baubles. Keep an eye on the blog for more Christmas updates over the coming weeks.

Year 4 Visitor This week Year 4 were entertained by a visitor all the way from the USA! Riann Steele, an actor who currently lives in New York, spoke in front of our captivated audiences all about her experiences of living in the Big Apple. She also talked about the differences in climate, culture, money and language. Our visitor was blown away by the children's general knowledge. "I was really impressed with how much they know about the country," she said after her presentation. "The questions they asked showed a real passion for the topic as well. I am so glad to have met them all!"
