Children in year 4 showed some wonderful teamwork this week making balances in pairs and teams…it is harder than it looks! 🤸🏼‍♂️🤸‍♀️🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Fantastic Learning in Year 5

Image
Take a look at the new displays that Year 5 have made to celebrate the fantastic work we have been doing! We have a board for our current topic, Ancient Egypt, which we are sure you have heard all about at home. Make sure you ask Year 5 all about Egyptian tombs and the discovery that Howard Carter made. We have also been learning about how to stay safe online and the functions of each part of a flowering plant.

Year 3 create their moving monsters

Year 3 had great fun this week following their plans and using everything they had learnt about pneumatic systems to create their moving monsters.

New boards in Year 4!

Image
This week we have been updating our year group boards around the school.  As always it has been very hard to choose the work to be displayed, as the work across Year 4 has been of such a high standard.  We always try and reflect the range of work that is produced, across the year group,  on our boards and the themes for each board will change over the year. Take a look below at our new boards.

Year Six Fabulous Work

Image
Year Six have worked hard creating some wonderful displays showing some of the work they have produced this half term.  There are some very well written descriptions based on Artemis Fowl; some explanations and comparisons of technology today and from the past; mathematical work focusing on co-ordinates and some very creative and detailed North American art. Keep up the hard work Year Six!

Resilience workshop Y3

Image
This week Year 3 were very lucky to take part in the second part of a workshop all around the topic of resilience.  We have learnt what this word means, and how we can use this word. The workshop taught us about the left and right sides of our brain, and what both parts are good at recognising.   The workshop gave us lots of different methods to help us remember things such as methods in our Maths and English lessons.  This will help us to become even more resilient at school.  We practised these techniques during the workshop and we were able to recall the order of history eras all the way from the stone age to the millennium era.  We were even able to tell our teachers the history Neil Armstrong!  Please ask us questions about resilience, as we are now experts!
