On Thursday the 14th of July we held our annual French Day to celebrate Bastille Day. We had lots of fun taking part in a variety of French activities and dressed up in red, white and blue for the day. Lots of us said that our favourite activity was trying French food in the café. We got to try baguette, French cheese and croissants. In class we learnt about the history of Bastille Day, famous landmarks, famous French people and we used the Chromebooks to practise French. Some of the year 6 pupils had a special job helping us play French games. These included lots of fun activities such as boules and buying fruit and vegetables using our French conversation skills. Overall, French Day gave us an opportunity to learn more about France and practise our language skills. Vive La France!
