Squirrels Heath Junior School

Yesterday, 3 Holly loved being involved in the creation of our schools amazing mosaic. They were super proud of their hard work and cannot wait to see the final piece🎨

 The children in 3 Maple were very excited to be taking part in making our school Mosaic.  They can’t wait for you to see the big reveal!

 Well done to our teams who participated in Quad Kids. Each team showed resilience, passion and great dedication when participating in their events. Well done for representing our school so beautifully- we are so proud of you.  

This week, there has been a real 'buzz' around the finals of our first Squirrels Heath Spelling Bee! Each year group gathered in the Hall to watch their class' winning team compete against the rest of the year group. Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates were up for grabs and the children didn't disappoint! They all did really well, with some year groups needing to go to some 'tie break' spellings - it was very tense!! We are very pleased to announce that the winners, who all received a special Spelling Bee Gold medal, were -  Y3 - From 3 Maple 'The Spelling Champs' Y4 - From 4 Elm 'ABBA' Y5 - From 5 Pine 'Super Spellers' Y6 - From 6 Poplar 'Squirrels ;) '  Every child that took part should be very proud of themselves and how hard they have been learning their spellings this year.  What an achievement - What a 'buzzing' Spelling Bee too! 

 This week we have been doing lots of work on our end of year production ‘Edith’s Wartime Scrapbook’. Take a sneak peak behind the scenes. We can’t wait to perform it for all of you!
