All about teeth in Year 4!

Image
This week, in Year 4, we have been lucky enough to have Mrs Lall talk to us about our teeth and how to look after them.  Before Mrs Lall worked in our school she was a dental nurse, working in a dental surgery and also a hospital.  She talked to us about how and when when should be brushing our teeth, and what we should and should not be eating to keep our teeth healthy.  She also consolidated our understanding of the different teeth we have and what their functions are.  Thank you Mrs Lall for a very exciting and informative talk!

Katherine loved her job and was always finding new ways to explore space.  Although Katherine’s work wasn’t always given the prominence it deserved, in recent times she has received the recognition. On the 24 th February 2020, Katherine died at the age of 101. NASA posted on social media saying, ‘her legacy of excellence broke down racial and social barriers while helping get our space agency off the ground’.
