A week in year 3
In year 3 this week, we had some amazing fun using the apparatus in PE, reenacted the last supper in RE and explored the properties of materials in DT.

Art in Year 5
As part of their unit of Expressionism, Year 5 had lots of fun choosing oil pastels colours to enhance the emotions expressed in a range of photos. They also experimented with overlaying text to heighten the effect of their images.
Filtration in Year 5
This week we have been learning all about the process of filtration and learning how it can be used to separate the materials within a mixture. In groups we investigated different types of filters and, along the way, were able to explain what makes one effective. We were also able to better identify how filtration plays and essential part in our everyday lives.
Year 4 D.T. - Simple Machines
In Year Four this week, the children explored various simple machines. They had the opportunity to examine different machines around the school and also engage with them practically in class. There was a great deal of insightful discussion regarding compound machines, which consist of more than one simple machine working together.
