Year 3 parents come for a visit.

It was lovely to see so many parents at our Year 3 Maths Open Lesson today. Thank you for making time to visit us today.

The children and adults enjoyed working together to find fractions of amounts using counters and cubes. By the end of the lesson, most children were quite confident. Tomorrow, pupils will be using the knowledge they have gained to find fractions of amounts mentally. Well done Year 3, keep up the fantastic work!

If you missed the Open Lesson this morning, don’t worry as there will be further opportunities for shared learning in all year groups next term.

Netball: Havering CHAMPIONS!

 Well done to our FANTASTIC netball team for winning the Havering league today.  They have officially been crowned the best netball players in Havering! 30 teams entered the tournament at the beginning and it was down to the final 4 today in the semi finals. First we beat Gidea Park and then squirrels went on to beat James Oglethorpe 12-4 in the final - a very well deserved win. Compliments were given by all other coaches and the sports collective on what an amazing tournament we have had.  Well done again Squirrels and a huge well done to Mr Leslie for all his hard work and dedication as a coach.

Year 4 trip to the National Gallery

 We are having a great time at the National gallery today. We got here in good time and are enjoying looking at the great artwork on display. I think many of the children are also looking forward to having lunch and as always the train trip has been a highlight.  More photos to follow.
