Year 5's Magical Journey Thorough Space!
Yesterday, Year 5 were visited by a company who took them all through a magical journey through space!
A 5 metre dome was set up in the hall and each year 5 class had the opportunity to take part in a workshop with Space enthusiast Paul Bishop.
Upon entering the dome, children learnt about how the stars and the planets, researched more thoroughly into the life of Galileo and watched a video, learning weird and wonderful facts along the way.
Alfie L. said "I didn't know there were 200 billion solar systems!" Most of the children were amazed to find out that the Sun will swallow up Mercury, Venus and eventually Earth. However, they were comforted by the fact that this was around 4 billion years away from happening!
