Squirrels Heath Choir

Our wonderfully talented choir were finally able to showcase the fruits of their hard work over the last two weeks. Travelling the length and breadth of Romford, they delighting audiences with their sonorous renditions of carols, old and new. The children should be especially proud of their performances at The Queen's Hospital and Moreland House Care Home as I am sure they put smiles on many, many faces and helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit. They even helped raise money for both the hospital and Squirrels Heath Juniors itself.  We will receive a certificate from Queen's shortly telling us how much we raised but they were able to earn £57 for the school after their visit to Romford Shopping Hall.

 It has been a great start to our adventures at Stubbers!  We went on a nature trail around a large lake, that we will be using later on today for water sports activities. We even managed to find some exciting equipment to play on along the way.  We are now eating our lunch, and getting ready for the fun this afternoon.  Keep checking for exciting updates!

What a great first day at Stubbers

After lunch, we all started our first activities. We all got to go on a climbing wall, with many of us reaching the top. We also got to try open canoeing or double kayaking, even though it was meant to be fairly dry activity many of us managed to get nice and wet. After our activities we found our tents for the next couple of days and then had our dinner, it was a very tasty bolognaise with fruit for pudding.  We are now waiting for our evening activity, the mini Olympics, then time for some well earned rest.  We will keep you updated in the morning. Another exciting morning at Stubbers

 This morning, we have been able to try out lots of new activities, including paddleboarding, a team challenge, archery and combat archery. Everyone has got involved and had great fun.  I am sure that everyone is looking forward to their lunch and their afternoon activities   We will keep you updated later on, remember keep checking in!
