Netball Match Squirrels Heath Junior School V La Salette
On the 14th November 2019 the netball teams went to La Salette Primary School to compete in 2 matches; a friendly match and a Cup Match. Squirrels Heath Junior School won both of our matches. In the Cup Match we won 5:2 and for the friendly match, we won 2:0. In the friendly match, La Salette scored but the whistle had blown so the goal didn’t count.
Before the match began, our shooters practised shooting so we would get a few hoops! At the end of the match we all gave three cheers for both schools and had a group selfie together.
La Salette set up a stall with biscuits and juice for both netball teams. We had lots of fun at the match and are very happy that we won!

Sports Hall Athletics Year 5 and 6
On Wednesday 27th November I had the best day ever! Instead of going to school in the morning, 18 of us went to the Hornchurch Sport Centre. Everyone participated in 4 activities; 2 races and 2 field events (jumping or throwing). It was very exciting! One of the best parts of it was that we came 9th out of 18 schools and I even won an award for achieving my ‘personal bests’. I got a certificate! Overall it was a pretty good morning and I would definitely do it again!

Netball: Havering CHAMPIONS!

 Well done to our FANTASTIC netball team for winning the Havering league today.  They have officially been crowned the best netball players in Havering! 30 teams entered the tournament at the beginning and it was down to the final 4 today in the semi finals. First we beat Gidea Park and then squirrels went on to beat James Oglethorpe 12-4 in the final - a very well deserved win. Compliments were given by all other coaches and the sports collective on what an amazing tournament we have had.  Well done again Squirrels and a huge well done to Mr Leslie for all his hard work and dedication as a coach.

Year 4 trip to the National Gallery

 We are having a great time at the National gallery today. We got here in good time and are enjoying looking at the great artwork on display. I think many of the children are also looking forward to having lunch and as always the train trip has been a highlight.  More photos to follow.
