Staying Active!

Havering Big Dance
Squirrels Heath Junior School had signed up to take part in the ‘Big Dance’ to be held on 9th July this year. Although we have some uncertain times ahead of us, we are very much hoping this event can still go ahead as planned. If not, we plan to use the dance as a celebration for when these uncertain times have passed. Families can follow the link below and have fun learning the routine together whilst at home. We look forward to performing this together in the future!
The big dance tutorial video is now linked via the Havering Sports Collective website and you can also find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9POft3eGOA&t=983s

Weekly Workouts
Each week Lauren Mack (dance & fitness instructor) from the Havering Sports Collective will be producing short 25 minute workouts for us (including short challenges) for children and families to complete together. The Sports Collective are aiming for 3 a week on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. The first family fun cardio workout has been posted on the Sports Collective website and can also be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbSF6PxgFts&t=5s

Useful Links

Our friends at the Havering Sports Collective have created a COVID-19 page on their website: https://haveringsportscollective.org/covid-19/
From this page you can access the ‘The Big Dance’, the ‘Weekly Workouts’ and many other links to
resources that families can access to keep fit and healthy whilst at home.

Stay safe and keep active!
Best wishes
