Take a look at the image below.  Can you write a story opening based on the picture.

Think about the atmosphere and the mood of the picture.  Remember to use your senses when you describe the setting.

Can you also include any of the following -

  • similes
  • metaphors
  • personification
  • fronted adverbials
  • conjunctions
  • noun phrases
  • a range of vocabulary
  • a range of punctuation
  • Use apostrophes correctly

Netball: Havering CHAMPIONS!

 Well done to our FANTASTIC netball team for winning the Havering league today.  They have officially been crowned the best netball players in Havering! 30 teams entered the tournament at the beginning and it was down to the final 4 today in the semi finals. First we beat Gidea Park and then squirrels went on to beat James Oglethorpe 12-4 in the final - a very well deserved win. Compliments were given by all other coaches and the sports collective on what an amazing tournament we have had.  Well done again Squirrels and a huge well done to Mr Leslie for all his hard work and dedication as a coach.

Year 4 trip to the National Gallery

 We are having a great time at the National gallery today. We got here in good time and are enjoying looking at the great artwork on display. I think many of the children are also looking forward to having lunch and as always the train trip has been a highlight.  More photos to follow.
