Fantastic work from Year 5

 Science 

This week Year 5 have been learning about the parts of a flower and what they do. We have labelled a lily and learnt new vocabulary. Then we began exploring pollination from the wind and insects. Pupils did a fantastic job with their online learning. 

Art 

In art they we have been learning about the work of Frida Khalo (a Mexican painter known for her many portraits). Inspired by her Self-Portrait with Necklace of Thorns, which features monkeys, the students used various materials like play-doh, clay, lego bricks and other materials to make their own monkeys. Have a look at some of the wonderful creations that were made. Well done everyone, this work was phenomenal.
