A wonderful Willow Week...week 7!

After a fabulous relaxing and fun half term, we are back with a vengeance in Willow class! This week we got to read Davy Jones' Locker and you wrote some amazing setting descriptions...it was so creepy and spooky! 


Also you have been using your division skills, you have thought about what you'd give up for Lent, you made food chains, you learned about food safety and you had a go at some gymnastic poses! We even had a boogie during our live lesson! Finally, a special mention to one child, who is clearly a budding teacher, if   the amazing video demonstrations are anything to go by! 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

Netball: Havering CHAMPIONS!

 Well done to our FANTASTIC netball team for winning the Havering league today.  They have officially been crowned the best netball players in Havering! 30 teams entered the tournament at the beginning and it was down to the final 4 today in the semi finals. First we beat Gidea Park and then squirrels went on to beat James Oglethorpe 12-4 in the final - a very well deserved win. Compliments were given by all other coaches and the sports collective on what an amazing tournament we have had.  Well done again Squirrels and a huge well done to Mr Leslie for all his hard work and dedication as a coach.

Year 4 trip to the National Gallery

 We are having a great time at the National gallery today. We got here in good time and are enjoying looking at the great artwork on display. I think many of the children are also looking forward to having lunch and as always the train trip has been a highlight.  More photos to follow.
