The Snowman English writing in Year 3.

 The children have produced some wonderful writing after watching The Snowman by Raymond Briggs in English this week. It really captured their imagination for writing descriptively. 

Here is an example of one of their beginnings.

One winter morning a small boy was tossing and turning in his comfy, blue bed, with his duvet wrapped around him like a burrito. He opened his eyes to a wonderful sight, there was a blanket of white snow covering the grass, he could no longer see green. 

After gathering his clothes and putting them on, he went to the doorstep and pulled his green welly boots on. He completely forgot his hat, scarf and gloves so his mother pulled them on before he dashed outside, the snow crunching under his feet.
