Science fun in Year 6!

This week, Squirrels children have been taking part in lots of fun Science week activities to celebrate Science week!

In Year 6, we had a visit from ‘Professor Bubbles’. Children learnt lots of scientific facts and got to take part in many fun activities – including going inside a bubble! Even Mrs Chestnutt had a go – it looked incredibly fun!

In addition, Year 6 children were set the challenge of making a catapult using lolly sticks and elastic bands. All of the children managed to make one however the second one proved a lot more challenging and it was great watching the children work together to tackle the problem!

We were also very lucky that Mr Robinson brought in his parachute and demonstrated its use. Children were able to put all their knowledge about air resistance and drag to the test!

All in all, it’s safe to say it has been a fun Science week in Year 6!
