Year 5 - Chronology of Ancient Greece

Year 5 commenced their Groundbreaking Greeks unit this week. Using timelines, they investigated the chronology of ancient Greece as well as sequenced and made connections between the different periods and those of the wider world. Later, they also used a range of artefacts to build a picture of who the ancient Greeks were.

Netball: Havering CHAMPIONS!

 Well done to our FANTASTIC netball team for winning the Havering league today.  They have officially been crowned the best netball players in Havering! 30 teams entered the tournament at the beginning and it was down to the final 4 today in the semi finals. First we beat Gidea Park and then squirrels went on to beat James Oglethorpe 12-4 in the final - a very well deserved win. Compliments were given by all other coaches and the sports collective on what an amazing tournament we have had.  Well done again Squirrels and a huge well done to Mr Leslie for all his hard work and dedication as a coach.

Year 4 trip to the National Gallery

 We are having a great time at the National gallery today. We got here in good time and are enjoying looking at the great artwork on display. I think many of the children are also looking forward to having lunch and as always the train trip has been a highlight.  More photos to follow.
