In year 3 this week we had an amazing time learning how to create our own comic and manga characters from our visiting author. We will be using these designs next week to create our own one-page comic strip.
We also conducted some experiments using friction and newton metres. We predicted which surface would grease the most friction against our shoes then tested and evaluated the results.
After lunch, we all started our first activities. We all got to go on a climbing wall, with many of us reaching the top. We also got to try open canoeing or double kayaking, even though it was meant to be fairly dry activity many of us managed to get nice and wet. After our activities we found our tents for the next couple of days and then had our dinner, it was a very tasty bolognaise with fruit for pudding. We are now waiting for our evening activity, the mini Olympics, then time for some well earned rest. We will keep you updated in the morning. Keep an eye out.
It has been a great start to our adventures at Stubbers! We went on a nature trail around a large lake, that we will be using later on today for water sports activities. We even managed to find some exciting equipment to play on along the way. We are now eating our lunch, and getting ready for the fun this afternoon. Keep checking for exciting updates!
This morning, we have been able to try out lots of new activities, including paddleboarding, a team challenge, archery and combat archery. Everyone has got involved and had great fun. I am sure that everyone is looking forward to their lunch and their afternoon activities We will keep you updated later on, remember keep checking in!
