Year 4 - Ancient Egyptian Day

Year 4 had a fantastic Egyptian Day filled with hands-on learning and fun. They made papyrus, designed sarcophagi, and created canopic jars. The children learned about mummification by preserving cucumbers and acting out a mummy drama. They also built pyramids, played the ancient game Senet, and enjoyed an Egyptian feast with homemade flatbread, grapes, and dates. The day was a brilliant mix of history, creativity, and teamwork, giving the children a memorable insight into life in Ancient Egypt.
