EYFS: What We are Learning 

This term our topic is Let’s Explore. Our focus book this week was The Everywhere Bear.

We have been drawing and following maps and learning new vocabulary such as neighbourhood, journey and route. In our PSED lesson we have also been learning that we  all have differences and similarities.

Here is what we have been up to:

 

The children have also been working hard in our Twinkl Phonics lessons this week. This week we learnt the sounds S,A,T,P,I. We have now started writing in our phonics books tracing over each sound that we learn and then having a go independently. It would be great if you could practise these 5 sounds at home this week. 

We will also be sending home a Bedtime story book this week. Please read this to your child and sign the reading diary. Please also record any other books that you have read at home. Next week we will send home a reading (picture) book for your child to read to you. Please read this and any other books at home and sign the reading record at least 3 times every week. Thank you.
